Kerr County Flood Recovery: Center Point Laydown Yard & Sediment Processing Facility
As part of the ongoing multi-agency flood recovery operation in Kerr County, A.M. Pitts Construction designed and constructed a specialized forensic processing facility in Center Point, Texas. Subcontracted under Gothams LLC, this critical infrastructure supports Texas Task Force teams and Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) personnel in their systematic search and recovery mission.
Engineered Containment Infrastructure
Specialized Processing Pads
- Four separate 300-foot by 60-foot containment pits with 45-mil EPDM liner systems
- 500-foot by 200-foot stockpile area with matching liner specifications
- Liners buried under 12 inches of soil for operational stability and environmental protection
- Designed to safely contain and process lake sediment from multiple Kerr County recovery sites
Multi-Agency Forensic Support
- Controlled environment for cadaver dog teams to systematically search lake sediment
- Supports Texas Task Force specialists evidence recovery protocols
- Enables proper processing of material before transfer to designated stockpile area
- Four machines deployed for continuous sediment processing and movement
